there is only one man with the experience, talent and pure magic...BEN
ROBINSON!

|
 |
|
Ben Robinson specializes in original close-up
magic for small groups at corporate and private affairs.
Above and below he is seen entertaining the executives of JP
Morgan Chase in February 2006 in Manhattan.
Surrounded, standing or sitting at tables,
he's performed at the world's most famous hotels and black-tie
events from Monte Carlo to New York. As a Fortune 500 performer,
he has entertained everyone from Frank Sinatra to Snowbird owner
Richard D. Bass.
His stage shows have appealed to corporate
and theatre audiences. He is widely known for his unique ability
to entertain adults and children at the same time. |
 |
 |
| He is frequently found performing
in concert with name bands. This has proved to be a unique mix,
always sure to stand an audience on its ear! After witnessing
his wonders, music legend Richie Havens (seen at right with the
magician after his performance) gave Ben a big hug for his latest
original illusion where Ben
makes rings apear on all of his fingers! |
 |
Ben Robinson is known for his unique
ability to mix sales and sorcery, often being called upon to
introduce new products or add creative conjuring to clients'
message. On Valentine's Day he's appeared at the Center for Special
Studies at NY Hopsital for some of the oldest AIDS patients,
and in 27 out of 30 cases Ben was told by attending physicians
that his magic reversed clinical depression!
Ben Robinson regularly performs on TV, stage and close-up at premier resorts, trade shows, company events and
celebrations. He has represented American Express Travelers Cheques
and Levis 501 jeans on TV.
Ben Robinson can perform magic anywhere, with
anything, and has demonstrated this unique ability for 30 years.
He has entertained at both the Harrison Conference Center in
Glen Cove, NY and at the Holiday Organization golf clubs for
15 years consecutively. He has appeared for company celebrations
for Computer Associates Inc. and the Japanese Travel Bureau more
than 20 times each.

Whether entertaining chairmen or children,
members of the 1989 American Everest Team at the Base Camp of
Mt. Everest, or nightlife crowds in Amsterdam, Robinson is one-of-a-kind.
Ben Robinson does magic every
day. While buying a newspaper or standing in line for a movie
he enlivens each day with the unexpected. Yearly he performs
several- hundred formally booked shows around the world.
The general reaction is expressed
by radio DJ Ken Schneidman who commented after Robinson's appearance
in Woodstock, NY: "You
were as talented as we had heard. Everybody loved having you
here."
At a company event for JP
Morgan Chase (seen above) the review was that the guests "adored"
the magician. |

MAGIC:
OUT OF ORDER
Since 1984, Ben Robinson's
OUT OF ORDER magic has performed from Off-Broadway and New York
nightclubs to the town square of Namche Bazar at 11,000 feet
in the Nepalese Himalaya. He has been called Harold Lloyd-like
and "the Clark Kent of magic." Clad in saddle shoes,
suspenders and a bow tie, this is not strictly a magic show,
but a humorous interpretation of trying to do a magic show. Robinson
gets tangled with surreal obstacles as his hand lights on fire
unexpectedly, a silk scarf winds up in a volunteer's pants zipper,
and a skewer through his tongue disables his ability to speak
on the phone.
 |
This theatrical
creation has the distinction of being fully produced as a one-man
show several times; most notably in 1988, by Broadway and visionary
avant garde producer Lyn
Austin and her Music-Theatre Group
at their summer home in Stockbridge, MA. |
The Hartford Courant drama critic wrote "Ben Robinson's
performance of silent, surreal, humorous illusions is a MUST
see!" The Boston Globe called Robinson "a charmer."
Whether entertaining a corporate audience at a dinner party or
being Magician- in-Residence at the US premier ski and summer
resort, Snowbird, Robinson's comedic magic has appealed to audiences
of all ages the world over.

MR.
MUTILATION
Created in dark rock
'n roll nightclubs from Seattle to New York and Amsterdam, Ben
Robinson's "Mr. Mutilation" character first saw daylight
as host, star, director and writer of the Kennywood Amusement
Park's 1998 Centennial Midway (PA). Appearing along with Elastogirl,
Zamora the Incredible Ape Girl, Mary Childs - the Headless Women,
and Guinness World Champions: Flexx - The Rubber Boy and David
"Cannonball" Smith (distance champion human cannonball),
Mr. Mutilation hit the stage 1,750 times in 5 months for which
Ben Robinson achieved
a world record.
 |
"Mr. Mutilation"
is touted as the magic act that visually answers the burning
question: how do ya bury a knife in your arm, push a skewer through
your tongue, and chop your hand clean off? Mr. Mutilation is
the wacky guy in the black-spangled vest and 19th-century ring
master's flared pants, who has made 2.7 million people laugh
at his version of "Madame Twisto and the Blade Box"
and gasp at his masterpiece of cutting his arm into three pieces.
Producer Paul Osborne wrote, "Robinson has a bizarre love
of the past, and a performance art style of the future."
Billboard's Amusement Business magazine raved "Robinson
is a Master Magician...Ape Girl and Bullet Boy a Hit at Kennywood."
Carl Hughs, Chairman of the Board of Kennywood, America's Premiere
Amusement Park wrrote, "Ben Robinson is a natural born leader.
Superb work."

On DVD, he stars in the "Death
by Magic" episode of The Discovery and Learning Channel's
Grand Illusions: The Story of Magic. He set the tone for
the episode by stating frankly, "I'm going to go to that
very frail line where life and death meet." |
BULLET
CATCHER
Ben Robinson has performed
the only death-defying illusion feared by the great Houdini: catching a bullet fired from a high
powered rifle, in his teeth!
Notably, in New York City
on Halloween at Houdini's grave, on Maury Povich's 1997 Halloween
TV special, at Niagara Falls with producer Bob Weill (who produced
legendary bullet catcher Ted Annemann's attempts 52 years earlier)
and while headlining at
a casino where he was injured by flying glass. In December 2004, he appeared
for the BBC in their series The History of Magic commenting
on "dangerous magic" and telling of the other Robinson
killed by the stunt. |

He is the author of the award-winning
book Twelve Have Died--Bullet Catching, The Story & Secrets.
With a foreword by Nightcourt TV star Harry Anderson,
Robinson traced the history of "magic's darkest wonder."
Ben Robinson is the only magician to have received both the Milbourne
Christopher Foundation Award and Society of American Magicians
Leslie R. Guest Award of Excellence for his literary efforts
concerning the history of this 500 year-old stunt.
His writing about and performance of
this dangerous illusion are the modern standard for this stunt.
