Ben
Robinson Rocks Radiohead |
 |
| Oct 10-New York:
David Bowie said in Rollingstone
(the one with Britney on the cover nearly naked) "Radiohead
is the best band on Earth right now." A sold out show at
Madison Square Garden. 37,000 fans screaming wildly and gyrating
to the awesome show. Thom Yorke ( in New York, let's put the
"e" back on the end of the name in tribute to his greatness)
sitting pretty on the lip of the stage, the consummate showman
digging his creation all around him. And the devoted audience
with the hottest ticket in town saw most of it because of HPX's
wild video visuals, often commented on as "Like nothing
ever seen before. Just damn cool." Radiohead is on an extensive
US tour and will soon return to their native Europe. |
| In 1995 HPX designed
the visuals to Ben Robinson's circus show in Seattle. On October
10, Radiohead with video designer Jon Dix, shook Madison Square
Garden with a show no one will forget. Not Drew Barrymore, not
Sir Paul, nor the magician sitting in the VIP area (loved the
champagne). And then crew and cast adjourned to a Capitol Records
party, and then the super secret big deal security party. DJ
Care was spinning her Seattle grooves, Jon Dix's HPX provided
the projections and Ben Robinson magically worked the crowd. |
 |
| Well whaddya know, it was the
revival of what happend back in 1995, except this time there
was money behind it...and the crowd loved it...all night long.
